DTC celebrates recent success in two IP Maritime Mesh trials

Domo Tactical Communications (DTC), a world leader in maritime communication solutions, celebrates recent success in two separate trials demonstrating high capacity wireless IP mesh at sea.

DTC once again demonstrated the effectiveness of their NETNode COFDM Mesh RF technology in a trial conducted by a major UK defence prime contractor. The customer required a High Data Rate (HDR) wireless IP mesh solution for extreme range communications between assets at sea. The trial was a success with regard to both range and capacity. The DTC Mesh was much more stable and consistent than competitive solutions when operating at the extremes of the operating range, thus providing the necessary mission critical capability in this demanding environment.

In a second maritime trial, with a leading USV (Unmanned Surface Vehicle) manufacturer, DTC’s Phase 4 NETNode Robust 5 Watt Standard Mesh was demonstrated. The findings were very encouraging, with our partner stating, “The DTC system performed exactly as expected”.

Well proven on land, DTC’s world leading Tactical IP mesh technology is now providing the same 24/7 mission critical capability between vessels at sea and for mixed mode air, land and sea deployments. Adding one or more airborne nodes to the Mesh, whether in a UAV or manned aircraft, can be particularly powerful when pushing the envelope of an operation. This provides the capability to seamlessly stream HD video, audio and control data well beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS).
