Domo Tactical Communications (DTC), a world leader in wireless communication solutions and MOHOC, Inc., makers of the world’s first military-optimised helmet camera, announce the integration of a ground breaking wireless camera solution.
By utilising the MOHOC® and MOHOC® IR (infrared) Cameras together with DTC’s SOL8 Software Defined Radio (SDR) to communicate via DTC’s market leading COFDM Point to Point and Tactical IP Mesh waveforms, users are able to remotely access real-time video in a tactical battlefield environment, facilitating real time decision making and risk assessment.
The awkward shape and operation of sport cameras render them insufficient for defense and law enforcement. In response, MOHOC developed purpose-built cameras and innovative accessories tailored to the tactical operator. The patented MOHOC® features low profile form factor, extreme ruggedization, and simple user interface, making it ideal for both training and live operations.
DTC’s COFDM waveforms provide high-capacity connectivity in challenging environments and sit seamlessly alongside existing public or private infrastructure. They penetrate into non-line-of-sight (NLOS) environments and can deliver end-to-end encrypted video for both training and mission operations in military and law enforcement. And with fully integrated, rate optimised low latency HD video encoding, DTC’s SOL8SDR can integrate seamlessly with MOHOC® Cameras.
“DTC are continuously looking to innovate and provide our customers with greater capability for their wireless communication applications and missions. Combining DTC Mesh with MOHOC’s problem solving camera solution, we are positioned as the natural choice in the global military and law enforcement market,” said Nigel Lee, Regional Vice President Sales, Domo Tactical Communications.
“Since the launch of MOHOC® Cameras, countless customers have requested to integrate our live stream with tactical communication networks. DTC’s IP Mesh and Point to Point solutions deliver that capability with plug-and-play ease, dramatically increasing the range of MOHOC’s real-time video transmission,” said John Prosser, Director of International Sales, MOHOC.
All of this, and more, will be at BIDEC 2017, 16-18 October. For more information, please visit www.domotactical.com or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
