Eclipse

Next Generation Outside Broadcast Transmitter
Broadcast2

Based around DTC’s industry leading “Single Frame Latency” HEVC H.265 encoding technology, the Eclipse is a compact, fully-featured outside broadcast transmitter.

ECLIPSE

Operating in DVB-T mode with Dual-Pedestal capability and 200mW output power, the Eclipse offers robust transmission in the most demanding of environments.

The Eclipse can transmit single 12G-SDI UHD video or four 3G-SDI HD video with embedded audio. It also offers dual high performance stereo analogue audio inputs with phantom power, as well as the option of integrated UHF camera control.

Frequency ranges from 1.14GHz up to 7.5GHz including dual-band variants mean the Eclipse can be used in almost any location, with minimal consideration of spectrum restrictions.

Cutting Edge Multi-Mode Video and RF Performance

The Eclipse transmitter supports 4K HEVC 10-bit 4:2:2 video over 12G-SDI with inputs of up to 3840x2160p. Coupled with 2x8MHz dual-pedestal mode allowing an unrivalled 50Mbps of throughput over standard DVB-T modulation, the Eclipse is industry leading in wireless video transmission system.

Unrivalled Throughput Over Standard Links

The Eclipse surpasses previous over the air throughput limitations, using dual-pedestal technology to give over 55% more data throughput than competitors across standard 8MHz DVB-T links. Refinements in guard bands and error correction mean this improvement is seen even in demanding, high-speed transmission environments.

One Transmitter for Multiple AV Assets

With five separate SDI ports the Eclipse can function in single 12G, dual 6G and quad 3G SDI modes, allowing the transmission of a unique ultra-high quality video feed or up to four separate HD feeds at the same time.

Multi-Function Transmission

At the heart of the Eclipse is a DTC software defined mesh transceiver. This allows the Eclipse to operate both as a single point to multipoint transmitter, or as a bidirectional mesh transceiver, linking multiple devices together into one shared network for large scale, reliable coverage in situations where communications breakdown is not an option.
